As a large group, we need locums on a regular basis, both for short term (1-4 week) periods and long term (up to 12 months+). We offer competitive splits plus accommodation and in some cases, for longer terms, travel assistance. Some of our long term locums will have the opportunity to join the group permanently.
For Canadian trained physicians not licensed in BC, we can assist you with the registration process with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
For foreign trained physicians, we can also assist you in obtaining a work permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
It is desirable for our locums to have current ACLS certification so they can do shifts in the emergency room but it is not mandatory in most cases. All locums must be have CMPA coverage.
Current locum opportunities are as follows:

Spur of the moment locums are often welcome. If you have an unexpected gap in your schedule, give us a call. Having a locum suddenly available has been known to trigger an overwhealming urge to take a spontaneous break.
